This impressive cactus, also known the Queen of the Night, flowers throughout the summer. Their stunning flowers open for one night and close in the morning, but you can see this Cereus bloom all season long!

Houseplants in the Cactus family are known for their love of direct sun, and for their drought tolerance. Like many other succulents they have compact root systems and are best kept in shorter pots and reasonably potbound. Their drought tolerance has earned them a reputation as plants that are difficult to kill, but without ample direct light they will never thrive, and will often slowly deteriorate. When kept in a sunny location they like a light to moderate watering when they’ve dried out, but during the summer months your cactus may be thirstier than usual, and may want no water at all for a few months of winter.
